Dec. 17-20

Hello Families,

This week will go quick!!!! We have no centers this week.  Students are already for the holidays.  We will be doing lots of fun activities.  We have dot-dot activities.  We will explore winter theme and talk about how animals adapt in the winter.

Math: We will have counting collections with counting and understanding if the groups are a multiple if there are left overs (remainders).  Also, we will be continuing our CGI (word problems) using subtraction and finding missing addend.

Our winter party will be on Thursday Dec. 20th from 12:30 - 2:00.

There is no school on Friday, Dec. 21.

School will resume on Tuesday, January 15.

When we get back, we will continue our theme on winter animals and their adaptations.  We will have a few owl projects.  Besides winter animals, we will discuss Martin Luther King, Jr. and how we treat everyone fairly.  We will read a poem "The Crayon Box that Talked"by Shane DeRolf.  It is about how every crayon is unique and special.  "And when we get all the different beautiful crayons together the picture is a complete work of art!"

Have a great break and see you next year!!!
Ms. Werner
