Dear Wonderful Kindergarten Families,
We have had a nice short week and have already made it to our 20th day of school! The kids are starting to get into our routine and seem to be having lots of fun!
Back to a five day week this coming week. We will be doing a lot of fun activities.
Here is a peek at our week:
Picture day is this Friday so don't forget to send in the form with your child. I was able to score an early time before recess so they will be nice and fresh!
In language arts we will continue to read books about following the rules at school, home, and in our world by taking a look at fiction, realistic fiction and nonfiction books. We will also learn about nouns and verbs and try to identify them in the stories we read.
Sight words to start practicing at home are : I, can, like, to. Our new sight words this week will be: the, my.
We will continue with our Apple theme for the month. On Friday, we will compare apples and bananas and take a look at the seeds that grow inside of both types of fruit in our Letś Find Out series.
In math we will continue learning to write numbers, learn two dimensional shapes, as well as sorting and graphing.
Thank you so much for the generous donations! I appreciate all the wipes, paper towels, and cool prizes for our prize box! Many thanks!
Reminders:
Picture day is this Friday so don't forget to send in the form with your child.
Labeling Items: Please be sure to label all items that belong to your child so we can make sure they get back to the right person.
I hope you all enjoy the weekend,
Ms. Werner
